What we share: Only your invite description text (voice transcript or typed text) and basic conversation context.
Why: To intelligently parse your natural language into structured event details (title, time, location, attendees).
What we DON'T share: Your contacts, phone numbers, personal data, or location information.
Data retention: OpenAI may retain data for 30 days for abuse monitoring, then it's deleted.
What we share: Your phone number for SMS verification.
Why: To send you one-time password (OTP) codes for secure account verification.
Data retention: Twilio retains SMS logs as required by telecommunications regulations.
What we share: Location search queries when you search for event venues.
Why: To provide location suggestions and venue details for your events.
Data retention: Google retains search queries according to their privacy policy.
What we share: Crash reports, error logs, and anonymized user IDs. May include action descriptions (e.g., "user tapped invite button").
Why: To monitor app performance and fix bugs that affect your experience.
What we DON'T share: Personal content, invite details, or sensitive user data.
What we share: Anonymous usage events (e.g., "plan created", "invite shared"), user ID, device type, and app version.
Why: To understand how people use Rallly so we can improve the experience — which features are popular, where users get stuck, and what to build next.
What we DON'T share: Plan titles, locations, friend lists, messages, photos, or any personal content. We do NOT use screen recording or session replay.
Data retention: PostHog retains event data according to their data retention policies. You can request deletion at any time.
What we share: Push notification tokens and message content for event updates.
Why: To deliver notifications about invites and event updates to your device.
Data retention: Tokens are retained until you uninstall the app or opt out.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Create, manage, and share event invitations
- Parse your natural language descriptions into structured events using AI
- Verify your phone number for account security
- Send notifications about event updates

- AI Processing: Before using voice/text AI features, you'll be asked for consent. You can create invites manually without AI.
